3.1 Information you provide directly
- Identification data: name, job title, employer, business address
- Contact data: email address, phone number, WhatsApp number
- Commercial data: brand(s) represented, category, country or region of operation, monthly volume targets, partnership type
- Communications: the contents of messages, notes, and attachments you send us
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time on site
- Cookie data: see Section 5 below
3.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from publicly available sources (corporate registries, business directories), from brand owners or importers introducing you to us, and from marketplace platforms (e.g., Amazon, Walmart) in the context of authorized seller relationships.
Purposes & Legal Bases for Processing
Under PIPEDA Principle 4.2 (Identifying Purposes), we collect, use, and disclose personal information only for the following identified purposes:
- To evaluate and respond to supplier and partnership inquiries submitted through our website or directly to our partnerships team
- To establish and maintain commercial relationships with brands, importers, distributors, and counterparties
- To operate our wholesale distribution and marketplace activities, including inventory sourcing, channel management, and fulfillment coordination
- To comply with legal, tax, customs, and regulatory obligations including those of Canada Revenue Agency, Canada Border Services Agency, and applicable marketplace operator policies
- To improve our website and services through aggregated analytics
- To communicate with you about your inquiry, our services, and material changes to our policies
Where we rely on your consent to process personal information, you may withdraw that consent at any time subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing conducted before withdrawal.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law (including tax, customs, and corporate record-keeping requirements). General retention periods:
- Inquiry contacts not converted to active counterparties: up to 24 months from last contact
- Active counterparty records: for the duration of the relationship plus 7 years (CRA tax retention)
- Analytics data: aggregated and anonymized after 12 months
Safeguards & Security
In accordance with PIPEDA Principle 4.7 (Safeguards), we maintain physical, organizational, and technological safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including:
- Access controls and role-based permissions for internal systems
